Wanna be a cowboy? Come along on the quintessential Arizona adventure – a classic trail ride! Seeing Arizona’s spectacular desert scenery from the back of a horse gives you a taste of the Old West. Imagine riding trails that have been used for hundreds of years by lawmen, outlaws, Indians and settlers.
Feel the towering saguaro cactus gazing upon you as we tell the colorful history of lost gold mines and the mysteries of the Sonoran Desert. Learn about the wild west and what makes this landscape special.
Duration: One (1) and two (2) hour options.
- One hour rides: 10am, 2pm and 4pm
- Two hour rides: 9am, 1pm and 3:30pm
- JUNE-AUGUST TOUR TIMES ARE 8am & 5pm ONLY (1 hour and 2 hour rides)

Includes: Permits & entry fees, skilled guide(s), well-trained horses & water.
Cost: 1 hour – $50/person; 2 hour – $75/person; half day – $125/person (min. 2, seasonally available). Transportation is available from select Scottsdale resorts for the 9:30am and 1:00pm 2-hour rides only for an additional $20/person (2 person minimum).
Depending on your ride time, you can either begin or end your adventure with a classic cowboy lunch of mesquite grilled hamburger, juicy chicken breast, or plump hot dog; accompanied by cowboy beans, corn on the cob, potato salad, chips, dessert, and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. The adventure doesn’t stop there! Play our wild west games such as hanging horseshoe ring toss, tomahawk throwing, bow & arrow archery, and stationary steer roping.
>For lunch, wild west activities and a 1 hour horseback ride, the price is $69/p. Lunch, activities and a 2 hour ride is $95/p.

Notes: RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. Minimum age: 6 yrs old. Weight limit: 230 pounds. No double riding. Long pants and closed toed shoes are required. Sunscreen and hats are recommended. Don’t forget your camera!
